INCONSIDERATE

When my stomach is empty, and I am starving to death,
And the rest of the world plays with food in surplus;
When I have no place to stay around,
And go to the streets for shelter,
And the world next door chooses
From a vacation house to a better;
When there are no schools in villages,
And I go to lessons under the shadows of the jungle,
And the politicians in town are busy waging wars
In selfish, dirty power struggle;
When the rich amass wealth
And I can't afford my basic health;
When I have no clothes in years,
And the world is mad with fashion,
And none whosoever shows a humanly compassion;
Just caring for protocol,
Ignoring my emergency call;
That is the planet in poverty,
And that is the world to pity.

You can..., you know...

You can, you know, but you know, you can't,
'Cause all you have is none, and all you need is scant.
Then you say: ``I wish I had, so that I could
Find all that I need now,
So that I can, which I know.''
And you wonder if the world has understood.
